Prosciutto starters

    Prosciutto goes very well with cheeses, vegetables and even fruit. These are two starters that will impress your guests without requiring a lot of time.

    Serves: 25 

    • 1/2 fresh French baguette
    • 100g butter, softened
    • 150g prepared mango chutney
    • 300g prosciutto ham
    • rocket leaves
    • 3 ripe nectarines
    • mint sprigs

      For crostini with prosciutto and chutney:

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Slice the baguette and spread with butter.
    3. Place the bread in the oven until lightly toasted, about 7 minutes.
    4. Remove from the oven and spread each piece with chutney. Add a piece of prosciutto on top and garnish with rocket.
    5. For the nectarines wrapped in prosciutto:

    6. Wash nectarines and dry with kitchen roll. Cut in half, remove the pit and slice thinly.
    7. Place a sprig of mint on top of every slice and wrap in prosciutto.
