Here's an excellent idea for a quick fruit dessert. Fresh berries are always great, but frozen berries work just as well. If you prefer more sweetness, sprinkle the berries with 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar before adding the topping.

50g butter, diced
50g soft brown sugar
100g wholemeal flour

Lightly grease 4 to 6 ramekins and preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Evenly distribute berries between the ramekins.
In a bowl rub together the butter, sugar and flour with your fingers until you have a crumble texture. Sprinkle over the fruit.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until crumble is golden. Serve with vanilla ice cream, custard or whipped cream.
