Hoisin ribs

    Easy, tasty ribs where the meat literally falls off the bone when eating. We love them when having barbecues - you can either finish them off on the BBQ or simply eat them straight from the oven. Just make sure you have plenty of serviettes to hand! And the cooking time can be adjusted to +/- 30 minutes so the ribs can fit in around the timings of your other food.

    Serves: 4 

    • 200g hoisin marinade
    • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 800g pork ribs

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 150 C / Gas 2.
    2. Mix together the hoisin, five spice and soy sauce in an ovenproof dish. Add ribs and coat well.
    3. Cover and slow cook in the oven for 3 hours, basting the ribs occasionally.
