200g millet flakes
500ml water
1 or 2 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon salt
500ml milk
2 tablespoons butter

Place millet flakes in a pot; add water, sugar and salt; cook and stir over medium heat.
Once all the water has evaporated; add milk and heat without stirring, covered with a lid.
Turn off the heat and let stand a few minutes. Add butter.
