About this recipe: Thin crispy biscuits with a sweet cherry in the middle.

Makes: 16 biscuits

  • 100g (4 oz) margarine
  • 50g (2 oz) caster sugar
  • 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 100g (4 oz) plain flour
  • 8 glace cherries, halved

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the flour and vanilla.
  2. Roll mixture into approximately 16 little balls and flatten slightly.
  3. Press half a cherry into the centre of each biscuit, and place on a greased baking tray.
  4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 190 C / Gas 5.
  5. Cool on a wire cooling rack.
