Chocolate mug cake

    6 min

Sometime you're in the mood for cake, and you need it quick! This recipe takes about a minute to make and uses staple ingredients everybody has in their house. Whilst this won't make perfect sponge like you would get from a traditional oven recipe, the final product definitely tastes like cake and is great for killing a craving.

    1. Put butter into mug. Melt in microwave for 15 seconds. Beat in the egg and milk.
    2. Add the flour, cocoa, sugar, sweeteners and baking powder to the cup and stir. Sprinkle the chocolate chips onto the mixture. Stir again until combined.
    3. Cook in microwave for 40 seconds.
    4. Take it out of the microwave and check your cake. If it isn't done, put it back in and microwave for another 10 seconds. Repeat this step until the cake is done. An under-cooked cake is better than a tough overcooked one!
