Apple and cranberry oatmeal breakfast

    A healthy and easy to make breakfast for diabetics. Apple juice, apples, cranberries and cinnamon make oatmeal delicious.

    Serves: 1 

    • 125ml semi-skimmed milk
    • 125ml apple juice (unsweetened)
    • 45g quick oats
    • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
    • 1 small apple, chopped
    • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 pinch artificial sweetener

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Put the milk, apple juice, oats, cranberries, apple and cinnamon in a medium-sized saucepan and heat up until it starts to boil.
    2. Once it is boiling, put the lid back on, reduce the heat to a medium-low heat and simmer until the oatmeal is at your desired consistency and stir it all.
    3. Once you are happy with it stir in the artificial sweetener and ENJOY!


    This is great for diabetics! Who says just because you have diabetes, you can't have nice food! They have diabetic chocolate after all!
