150g caster sugar
2 tablespoons plain flour
100g ground almonds
4 eggs
2 egg yolks
150g plain yoghurt
3 tablespoons crème fraîche
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ripe pears - peeled, cored and chopped
130g dark chocolate, chopped
1 handful flaked almonds

Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Butter a 23cm round cake tin. Whisk together the caster sugar, plain flour and ground almonds; set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, yoghurt, crème fraîche and vanilla. Stir the egg mixture and the sugar mixture together.
Scatter the chopped pears into the bottom of the cake tin, then sprinkle the chocolate pieces over. Cover with the cake mixture, then sprinkle generously with flaked almonds.
Bake in the preheated oven until a skewer inserted near the centre comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Serve warm.
