Microwave chocolate brownies

    You are only about 15 minutes away from serving up warm, homemade chocolate brownies! Perfect for that uncontrollable craving for chocolate.

    Serves: 6 

    • 150g plain chocolate, coarsely chopped
    • 100g butter
    • 50g plain flour
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar, or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
    • icing sugar, to dust

    1. Place coarsely chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Cook on High, stirring every 30 seconds or so until the mixture has melted and is smooth, about 2 minutes.
    2. Stir in the flour, caster sugar and vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract). Stir in the eggs. Pour the brownie mixture into a microwave safe dish that is lined with baking parchment.
    3. Cook in the microwave for 5 minutes. The brownie will appear moist, but it will be cooked. Dust with icing sugar.


    If you have the patience to wait, I sometimes place the cooked brownies under the grill for one or two minutes just to harden the top and make them easier to serve.

    Mine turned out dry ☹️ :/ i usually never have trouble with recipes. Probably had to do something with using grms  -  17 Sep 2017
