Smoked salmon puff pastry tart

    Salmon on puff pastry is always a great way to impress guests but you actually spend less than 10 minutes getting it ready to pop into your oven.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 (320g) package ready rolled puff pastry
    • 4 to 5 thin slices smoked salmon
    • 1 egg
    • 50ml double cream
    • salt and pepper
    • 1 tablespoon grated cheese of your choice

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a tart tin with greaseproof paper.
    2. Roll out puff pastry to fit tin and line the tin with it. Cut off any excess pastry and pierce the pastry with a fork several times. Place the salmon on top.
    3. In a bowl beat egg with cream. Add salt and pepper and pour over salmon. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
