Quick ham and cheese pan pasta

    This ham and cheese pasta dish is ready in 30 minutes and is very satisfying. A great option for kids when they get home from school and a complete meal when served alongisde a salad.

    Serves: 6 

    • 450g macaroni pasta
    • 6 eggs
    • 150ml soured cream
    • 130g ham, diced
    • 125g grated cheese (Gruyere or Emmental)
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • butter, as needed for cooking

    1. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil then cook the macaroni as instructed on the packet. Drain.
    2. In a bowl whisk together eggs and soured cream. Add ham and cheese and season with salt and pepper. Combine pasta with egg mixture and mix well.
    3. Melt a little butter in a large frying pan. Pour in the pasta egg mixture, distribute evenly with a spoon and cover. Cook over a medium heat until eggs have set, cheese has melted and the bottom is golden brown. Turn pasta upside down onto a plate and serve immeditely.
