About this recipe: Money was short in our home growing up, and this is a cheap and delicious way of filling the family up. It's also very easy to throw together and bung in the oven. I don't peel the potatoes, as the skin gives the mash a bit of extra taste. It's up to you though.
There are many variations you can add to this dish. A chopped onion in with the beans is good, or slices of ham. You can add cheese to the mash, or put it on top.
