    Serves: 4

    • 1 onion, roughly chopped
    • 2 carrots, roughly chopped
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 clove garlic, crushed
    • 500g minced beef
    • 500g tinned tomatoes
    • 1/2 tube of tomato purée
    • 1 teaspoon of mixed herbs
    • 1 pinch of salt - optional

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min

    1. Add onions and carrots to frying pan (or wok) with oil. Crush garlic and add to the mixture. Fry carrots, onions and garlic until the onions are slightly clear.
    2. Add mince to the frying pan until all of the meat is brown - but only just brown as you don't want your meat burnt.
    3. Once meat is slightly brown, add tinned tomatoes (blended - if you want), tomato purée and mixed herbs, and salt if you want.
    4. Let the mixture simmer until carrots are slightly soft.
    5. Serve with pasta or spaghetti, or anything of your choice.

Any of these ingredients are optional, you can change them if you like, but the principal is still the same. Also, be sure to remove paper off the bottom of the meat when you remove packaging.

This went down very well for me, my fiancé and my flatmate. Definitely making this again.  -  10 Jan 2016
