About this recipe: A delicious spread with goat cheese and fresh herbs. Use whatever you have to hand: parsley, basil, dill or chives. You can also increase the quantity of herbs to taste. Perfect for everything from a party nibble to a quick lunch! Serve spread on toasted baguette, crackers or as a dip for crudites.


Serves: 4 

  • 100g soft goat cheese
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons single cream
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs (parsley, chives, dill, basil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ground black pepper to taste

  1. In a bowl stir together goat cheese and cream, until smooth. Add shallots, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and mix well. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge till serving. Keeps for up to two days.
