About this recipe:
Sangrita is a favourite Mexican chaser that is traditionally served alongside a shot of tequila. Serve sangrita at your next party, and guests will be talking about it the next day!
1 litre freshly squeezed orange juice
250ml freshly squeezed lime juice
hot sauce to taste
salt to taste
1 thin slice of onion
60ml pomegranate juice (optional)
tequila shots (optional)

- Pour the lime juice into a glass jug and add the slice of onion. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes to let the flavours mingle.
- Remove onion, and add the orange juice, hot sauce and salt. Stir well. Stir in the pomegranate juice, if using.
- Serve chilled in shot glasses alongside shots of tequila. Or, enjoy on its own on the rocks. Enjoy!
