Rice, peas and beef mince

    This is a recipe good for the family. I came up with it when it was my turn to cook and couldn't find anything else.

    Serves: 4 

    • 220g rice
    • 440ml water
    • 400g beef mince
    • 110g frozen or fresh peas
    • 1 knob butter
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Start the rice and water in a pot with a lid on. Bring to the boil and boil for about 2 minutes. Don't stir the rice.
    2. Cook the beef mince in a frying pan at about 4 on the dials, for 5 to 10 minutes.
    3. Put the peas in a bowl and pour boiling water over the peas till they are covered.
    4. When the rice is cooked (no water left) add butter, then add the rice to the beef. When the beef is done add the peas and warm through.
    5. Season and mix it all together and it's done.
