Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly butter a baking tray.
Cream together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; stir in flour and cocoa powder. Divide dough into small balls and place on prepared baking tray. Lightly press each ball with the back of a fork.
Bake in the preheated oven until firm around the edges, 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
this recipe doesn't make dough because it doesn't contain any liquids to make it go into a dough. what you need to add is an egg and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract to make it a dough or at least so you can make it like a dough. also it doesn't make a dozen the maximum you will get if you use adequate sizes is 7 or 8. - 03 Aug 2013
These were quite easy and delicious to have with tea in the afternoon but I had to add a bit of almond milk to make the dough as it was not pasty enough to form... just crumbly without any liquid. - 21 Oct 2013
