Simple old fashioned pumpkin pie

    My classic pumpkin pie recipe with just the right amount of spices. Just lovely for a sunny autumn afternoon.

    Makes: 1 pumpkin pie

    • uncooked pastry case
    • 325g cooked, mashed pumpkin
    • 110g brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 250ml cream
    • 2 eggs

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:55min  ›  Ready in:1hr 

    1. Preheat oven to 220 / Gas 7. Line a pie tin with pastry.
    2. Combine pumpkin, sugar, spices, salt, cream and eggs in a mixing bowl and stir well. Turn into the uncooked pastry case.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes until set.
