Pate stuffed mushrooms

    You might want to double this recipe - these stuffed mushrooms are so tasty you're guests will probably want more than one!

    Serves: 12 

    • 12 mushrooms
    • 200g homemade or bought liver pate
    • 4 sage leaves, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
    • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
    • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas mark 6.
    2. Remove stalks from mushrooms. Finely chop stalks and mix with pate, sage and parsley. Brush caps with melted butter the top with pate mixture. Scatter breadcrumbs over top and place in a baking dish.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until tender and golden, 20 to 30 minutes.
