Honey baked pork chops

1. Firstly, begin to pre-heat your frying pan on a high heat. And pre-heat your oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
2. Then place the pork chops on a chopping board (or another clean surface) and pour the olive oil over to coat both sides. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer to the frying pan to brown briefly on both sides.
3. Whilst the chops are browning, add the brown sugar and honey to a microwavable bowl. Microwave the mixture for 20 seconds (800w microwave, time may vary depending on watts). Mix to incorporate the two ingredients.
4. When the pork chops have browned remove from heat and transfer to a baking dish. The dish should be just big enough to fit the chops. Using half of the honey-sugar mixture, cover the top of the pork chops and place in the oven for 15 minutes, uncovered.
5. After 15 minutes, turn the chops and use the rest of the honey-sugar mixture to cover the pork chops. Place in the oven for another 15 minutes, still uncovered. Serve preferably immediately, hot.
