    About this recipe: These flapjacks are packed with oats, hazelnuts, coconut and sesame seeds. Use chopped almonds or macadamia nuts as a variation.

    Serves: 20 

    • 115g unsalted butter
    • 75g brown sugar
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 80g quick cooking oats
    • 40g chopped hazelnuts
    • 25g desiccated coconut
    • 50g sesame seeds

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 30x18cm (11x7 inch) baking tray.
    2. Combine butter, brown sugar and honey in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, until butter is melted and sugar dissolved, 3 to 5 minutes. Add oats, nuts, coconut and sesame seeds. Mix with a wooden spoon until well combined. Press mixture evenly into the prepared tin.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Let cool in the pan and cut into bars.
