Quick chocolate truffles

    You can make these delicious chocolate truffles with rum in a heartbeat. It won't take long until they're gone either!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 110g (4 oz) plain chocolate
    • 2 tablespoons cream
    • 1 tablespoon rum
    • 170g (6 oz) icing sugar, sifted
    • 55g (2 oz) chocolate vermicelli

    Method

    1. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave using 30 second intervals. Stir in cream and rum. Blend in sugar gradually until the mixture is firmly stiff. Roll into small balls, then roll in vermicelli. Chill till serving.

    Idea

    Soak small raisins or sultanas in rum and add them to the melted chocolate.
