Yoghurt and strawberry smoothie

    A great combination of strawberries, bananas and low-fat yoghurt make this smoothie healthy and refreshing.

    Serves: 2 

    • 450g fresh strawberries, hulled
    • 2 bananas, peeled and sliced
    • 3 mugs of ice cubes
    • 450g plain yoghurt

    1. Blend strawberries, bananas, half the ice cubes and yoghurt in a blender on high until smooth. Add remaining ice and blend further until smooth again. Serve immediately.

    Not bad for a smoothie type of shake - I cut this way back and used fat free vanilla yogurt and less ice. To make it a little sweeter and to add a little more strawberry flavor I added some strawberry jam.  -  15 Oct 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    Frosty cold, that's for sure, but only average in flavor. Even tho' I used strawberry yogurt the banana flavor still dominated. It could also stand to be a tad sweeter.
