This is a really easy recipe, moist tasty and delicious, and it keeps very well. I have also added a tablespoon malt to the milk and mixed well before putting it into the bran and fruit which is also nice.
I find it easier to use a mug of Bran, milk fruit and flour and just half a mug of sugar, no weighing required. - 27 Sep 2013
Ii made this but using a recipe handed down from my Gran. Instead of soaking for 30 mins we soak it in fridge overnight and only use sultanas or raisins. i think the outcome is pretty much the same. all my family and friends love it and I can end up with several bowls in the fridge to make the next day. its better than any shop bought cake and so easy. - 11 May 2016
