Brandy butter

    A smooth and creamy brandy butter that you can make ahead of time and keep in the fridge. Serve with warm Christmas pudding or mince pies and let it melt into a delicious sauce. Add a teaspoon of orange zest if you wish!

    Serves: 8 

    • 110g butter, softened
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 60g soft brown sugar
    • 4 tablespoons brandy

    1. Beat butter in a bowl until soft and light. Gradually blend in caster sugar and brown sugar. Mix in brandy. Spoon into a ramekin, small dish or jar. Cover with a lid or cling film and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

    i dissolved the brown sugar in the brandy to avoid the sugar grit....ended up with a soupy mess. use way less brandy!!  -  22 Dec 2007  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
