Avocado and orange ice cream

    This easy ice cream made with avocado, orange juice, sugar, milk and cream tastes refreshingly different.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 large, ripe Hass avocado - stoned and peeled
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 120ml fresh orange juice
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 240ml milk
    • 240ml cream

    1. Blend avocado in a food processor until smooth; stir in lemon juice, orange juice, caster sugar, milk and cream. . Freeze until mixture is firm around the sides, for about 1 hour.
    2. Pour into a freezable container and freeze for 1 hour, or until edges are frozen; use an electric mixer to beat ice cream until thick. Return to freezer for at least another hour before serving.
