Sweet potato wedges

    45 min

Spicy chips, no effort needed. Sweet potatoes are tossed with spices and baked till crisp. Nice alternative to regular chips.

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Mix the lime zest, chilli, cumin, cinnamon and paprika together in a large mixing bowl.
    3. Cut the potatoes in half and in half again, and then halve each quarter again.
    4. Spray the potatoes with fry light or olive oil, and coat. Then a few at a time place in the bowl with the spice mixture and toss until each one coated before placing on a baking tray that has also been sprayed with Fry light.
    5. Place in oven for 30 minutes.
    6. Once removed from oven drizzle lime juice over the wedges.

'Appy daze - I add chilli flakes to the mixture as well just to spice it up.

Awesome chips, brilliant flavour and very easy. Though they need something to go with it - a dip/sauce I just couldn't figure out what.  -  09 May 2013
