About this recipe:Mine is using kippers, if you don't like salty fish then swap it for cheap white frozen fish. You can get a pack of fresh kippers fillets from most supermarkets for around 70p making them perfect for a cheap fish pie.

Cook kippers according to instructions on pack.
Half way through add the mixed veg to the water and continue boiling. Drain when finished.
Take a pan and add the cream cheese, stir in some milk and then add mustard. Mix to make a sauce, adding milk to achieve your desired consistency. Then crumble in half a veg stock cube and remove from heat.
Add the kippers and veg to the sauce and mash the kippers into smaller pieces. Spoon the kipper and veg sauce mixture into a serving dish.
Make the instant mash and add some butter if you'd like, then place the mash on top of the kipper mixture. Serve immediately, with extra veg if liked.
You can after stage six then put it in the oven although I suggest if it needs reheating that you do it in portions in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, as it can dry out.
Tried this last night my hubby loves kippers so this went down a treat, really cheap and easy, will without a doubt be doing this again, thanks for sharing! The only thing I did was sprinkled some grated cheese over the top and put it under the grill before serving x - 30 Aug 2013
