Two-minute chocolate microwave cake

    This is the best and quickest cake ever to make in the world because you're not using an oven and it's safe for kids!

    Makes: 1 cake in a mug

    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons self-raising flour
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
    • 1-2 tablespoons milk

    1. First put the 2 tablespoons of sugar into a medium sized mug, then add the 2 tablespoons of self-raising flour (if you cant find any use 4 tablespoons of plain flour).
    2. Next, add the cocoa powder, then the egg; mix well. Add the oil and milk and mix well so there's no dry bits of flour or cocoa powder not mixed in.
    3. Put it in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. Take it out of the microwave when you see the cake rising over the cup and it stops rising.

    Brilliant! Nothing in the house for the kids so I whipped this up. I love that no scales are required. I used olive oil instead of sunflower oil and this really tasted good as I had good quality cocoa powder in the cupboard.  -  13 Oct 2013
