This OK sauce tastes better than you can get from the takeaway. Give it a go and see what you think.
Makes: 300 ml OK sauce
125ml tomato ketchup
4 tablespoons brown table sauce, such as HP® or Daddies®
100g white or brown sugar
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon five spice powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cornflour
- Place all ingredients except the cornflour into a pan or wok. Heat on medium and stir until sauce starts to boil. Set heat to low and simmer for a few minutes.
- Mix cornflour with 4 teaspoons of water. Add to sauce and stir until sauce thickens. Serve or chill in the fridge till needed.
Use this sauce instead of your sweet and sour.

Really tasty and quick to make. I did double up on the cornflour though as it was still quite thin after using the recipe amount. I'll definitely be making again
