Cuban style tabbouleh

    Using Cuban instead of Lebanese spices makes a lovely variation on this healthy recipe and family favourite salad.

    Serves: 2 

    • 140g bulgur wheat
    • 2 tablespoons dehydrated onions
    • 2 bunches fresh parsley, chopped
    • 60ml olive oil
    • 60ml lemon juice
    • 3 tomatoes, finely diced
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
    • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon Goya® Sazonador
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Boil the bulgur wheat and onions for five minutes. Drain. Mix in the chopped parsley.
    2. Soak wheat in oil and lemon juice until the liquid is absorbed. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes during this process.
    3. Remove from the fridge and mix in tomatoes, garlic, cucumber, spice mix, salt and pepper.
