Grilled Tuna with Mango Salsa

    • 4 fresh tuna steaks, 8 ounces each and 1-1/2 inches thick
    • 1 green mango, peeled, pitted and roughly chopped
    • 1 small red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into short, thin slices
    • 1 small red onion, sliced into long, thin slices
    • 1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh coriander
    • 1 medium clove garlic, minced
    • 1 fresh chilli, finely chopped
    • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
    • 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.


    1. Combine salsa ingredients to taste and refrigerate.
    2. Rub tuna with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
    3. For medium-rare tuna, grill over medium hot fire about 3 minutes each side. If you prefer it more cooked, check after 5 minutes.
    4. Serve tuna with mango salsa.
