About this recipe: This lovely butterscotch sauce is heavenly over a banana split and other desserts. You can even just drizzle it straight over ice cream.


Serves: 6 

  • 400g condensed milk
  • 110g soft brown sugar
  • 110g caster sugar
  • 55g butter
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 to 2 drops vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

  1. Combine the evaporated milk, sugars, butter and honey into a saucepan and stir over a gentle heat for 20 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Serve warm or cold.
