55g icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
170g plain flour
10 glace cherries, halved

Preheat the oven to 160 C / Gas 2/3. Grease a baking tray.
In a bowl, cream together the butter and icing sugar then add the vanilla extract and sift in the flour. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into biscuit whirl shapes directly on to the baking tray.
Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool fully on a rack before serving.
