Funky kids hot dog pasta

About this recipe: I look after my niece and nephew a lot and they they like a variety of foods at lunch, so I came up with this idea! It is so simple and I hope your kids enjoy it as much as my niece and nephew did.

Makes: 2 child-size portions

  • 1 tin hot dogs (the thicker the better)
  • 100g spaghetti
  • 1/2 tin tomato soup
  • dried mixed herbs to taste
  • salt and pepper

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min

  1. Cut hot dogs up into 2-3 inch pieces. Take the dried spaghetti and stick some through the hot dog pieces. Cook the spaghetti and the hot dogs together in salted boiling water, as directed on the pack.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the tomato soup and add herbs to taste. Drain the spaghetti and hot dogs, then add to the soup and stir. Season to taste and serve.

If you snap the spaghetti and only pierce it halfway through the hotdog it looks like an octopus :)
