Chocolate drop cakes

    Ingredients
    Makes: 8 chocolate drop cakes

    • 30g butter or margarine
    • 160g caster sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk
    • 160g plain flour
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Grease a baking tray.
    2. In a bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until well mixed. Add milk, then sift in the flour, salt, cocoa powder and baking powder. Using a tablespoon, drop the cakes onto the prepared baking tray.
    3. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
