Healthy Chicken Jalfrezi

About this recipe: This chicken jalfrezi recipe is delicious. Its spicy, fresh and very easy to make. Enjoy curry without the guilt


  • 400g Chicken Breast
  • 1 Tbs Garam Masala
  • 1 Tbs Cumin
  • 1 Tbs Paprika
  • A sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Red 1 yellow pepper
  • A can of Chopped tomatoes or passata
  • 1 Tbs fat free natural yohurt
  • A handful of fresh coriander
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 chillies deseeded
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 calorie cooking spray


  1. Chop the chicken and onions.
  2. Add cumin, paprika, garam masala and cayenne pepper and stir fry on medium heat until chicken is almost cooked.( 5 mins approx)
  3. Add the peppers
  4. Ensure everything is evenly coated then add chopped tomatoes and natural yoguhurt
  5. Add the coriander
  6. Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes or until chicken is tender
  7. Serve with Basmati rice, Naan or Pappadums


Can subsitiute chicken for vegetables or prawns work just as well. if sauce does not thicken try adding a little corn flour.
