    These colourful and tasty strawberry cream squares are perfect for a fancy afternoon tea or a delicate dessert.

    Serves: 4 

    • 250g puff pastry
    • 60ml port wine
    • 225g strawberry jam
    • 250ml double cream

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease a baking tray.
    2. Roll the pastry out thinly then cut into squares about 10x10cm in size. Mix together the port and strawberry jam.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until risen and golden brown. Remove from the heat and pull apart the puff pastry to double the amount of squares.
    4. On a serving plate, layer the pastry, cream and jam repeating the layers twice. Chill for at least 30 minutes and serve.
