Easy sardine pate

    This tasty and very easy sardine pate can be enjoyed all times of the year; at a summer picnic or cosy by the fire with some warm bread.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 (135g) tin sardines in oil, drained
    • juice of 1/2 lemon
    • 55ml creme fraiche
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • fresh parsley, to garnish

    1. Combine all of the ingredients, except the parsley, in a food processor and blend until smooth. Spoon into a serving dish and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.


    If you are super short on time, this pate can be eaten right away without setting in the fridge. The texture will just be more light and airy than rich and creamy.
