    About this recipe: Roughly cut up ANY apples you have, add water and sugar to taste, then pop in the microwave. Perfect! Could not be easier.

    Makes: 100 to 200g apple sauce

    • apples - peeled, cored and chopped
    • 1 to 2 teaspoons water, per apple
    • 1 tablespoon sugar, per apple

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Combine ingredients in a microwave-safe dish (Pyrex works well). Place in microwave and cook, covered, for 1 to 2 minutes on High. Remove from microwave, mash well and then microwave on High for another 1 to 2 minutes. Serve warm or chill till needed.

    Never thought about pinging apples! I added my own blend of sweet spices (cinnamon, caraway, cardamom, nutmeg and vanilla), dried fruit (sultanas, raisins and currants) and use brown sugar. Thanks for the inspiration.  -  08 Feb 2016


    I did add a bit of cinnamon, this is so easy. Makes a great after school snack.  -  29 Sep 2015


    I think it is simple but requires a little more spice like cinnamon because it goes well with apples.  -  27 Apr 2014
