    About this recipe: A really simple meal for two. These two great flavours combine for a satisfying and tasty result. Serve on thick, hot buttered toast.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 shallot, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 rashers bacon, chopped
    • 400g chicken livers, trimmed
    • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 thick slice bread
    • butter, to taste

    Method

    1. In a frying pan over a medium heat, warm the oil and add the shallot, Worcestershire sauce then the bacon and chicken livers. Cook and stir for 5 to 6 minutes until the chicken livers are no longer pink in the centre. Mix in the parsley then season.
    2. Toast the bread then butter to taste. Plate then spoon the liver and bacon on top of the toast. Serve immediately.
