Garlic wild mushrooms

    This garlic mushroom starter is a firm family favourite in our household and always requested by the kids when we do courses. Serve with some bread to mob up the garlic butter.

    Serves: 4 

    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 small red chilli, seeded and minced
    • 450g wild mushrooms, halved
    • Worcestershire sauce, to taste
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

    1. In a frying pan over a medium heat, melt the butter and add the garlic and chilli. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce and cook and stir for 6 to 8 minutes until the mushrooms are golden brown. Remove from the heat, season and serve with fresh chopped parsley.
