    About this recipe: Making stock has never been easier thanks to the trusty slow cooker. This lamb stock is ready in about 8 hours and can be frozen until needed.

    Makes: 2 litres stock

    • 600g lamb bones
    • 2 sticks celery, chopped
    • 2 carrots, chopped
    • 1 onion, quartered
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
    • 5 black peppercorns
    • 1 sprig fresh thyme
    • 2L water

    1. Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook for 8 hours on Low. Strain stock through a fine sieve, then chill or freeze till needed.
