Orange Oatmeal Biscuits

    Crunchy oat biscuits, a combination of my husbands favourite ingredients, almonds and orange. I have gone low on sugar and butter as he consumes too many. Very easy to make.

    • 3 Cups Oats
    • 1 Cup sifted Flour. Sift 1/2 cup extra for kneading, set aside
    • 1 Cup fine Sugar
    • 1 Cup Almonds that have been chopped in half
    • 100 Gms Butter
    • 3 Heaped Tablespoons of thick cut Marmalade
    • Small glass of cold Orange Juice


    1. Mix all the dry ingredients together with butter, in a bowl, except the extra flour kept aside.
    2. Add just enough of the orange juice to make a dough, not necessarily the whole glass.
    3. Roll out dough using just enough of the extra flour
    4. Cut into squares and put on a greased baking tray
    5. Bake at 160 for 30 to 45 mins, turn over biscuits half way to get even browning
