    About this recipe: Chocolate chip cookies are great anyway, they are gooey and chewy and just so yummy. By adding Creme Eggs not only does it make them taste so yummy, but you also have a yummy Easter treat. As they only take 30 minutes start to finish, they are great to make with young children with a short attention span, as well as being a great last minute Easter gift for anyone you have forgotten to buy an egg for. All my friends said they would prefer these to an egg anyway!

    Ingredients
    Makes: 18 cookies

    • 110g butter, softened
    • 225g dark brown soft sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 220g self-raising flour
    • 6 Cadbury® Creme Eggs

    Method

    1. Cream together the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy. It will take around 3 minutes with a hand mixer.
    2. Add the egg and vanilla extract.
    3. Whisk until the egg is combined, not mixing for too long or it will split.
    4. Add the flour and the salt.
    5. Whisk until all the flour and the salt is combined.
    6. Chop up all the Creme Eggs until they are in small pieces. This will be very messy and you may need to scrape the filling off the chopping board, and then fold it into the cookie mixture. Don't mix too much or you will lose all of the fondant.
    7. Place a dessertspoon sized dollop on the tray, which had been lined or greased.
    8. Place in the oven for between 12 and 15 minutes. The middle will still be very soft, but the edges will be nice and brown and golden.
