About this recipe: This traditional pizza is easy to make and tasty, too! Get creative and add additional toppings, or stick with the classic tomato sauce and cheese.

Makes: 1 pizza

  • 200g strong white flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 200ml warm water
  • 170g tomato puree or pizza sauce
  • 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 2 balls mozzarella cheese, sliced

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min

  1. Put the strong white flour, yeast and salt into a bowl, and add sunflower oil and warm water and stir. If the mixture is sticky, add flour. If the mixture does not form a ball, add more warm water.
  2. Place onto a floured surface and knead gently until the dough comes together into a firm ball of dough. Roll out into a circle and place on a baking tray.
  3. Cover the pizza base with tomato puree and then cheese. Add any other toppings you like, just don't put too many on or else the base won't cook properly.
  4. Place into a preheated oven at 180 C / Gas 4 and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Leave to rest for 30 seconds before slicing and serving.
