Easy lamb koftas

    Tasty sausage type lamb dish with a mid-eastern flavour. Serve with couscous and natural yoghurt. Alternatively, serve in pitta bread with lettuce, tomato and natural yogurt.

    Serves: 8 

    • 500g minced lamb
    • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    • 2 teaspoons paprika
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
    2. Divide into 8 even portions and roll into the shape of a sausage.
    3. Grill in the oven under a medium heat, turning regularly until no longer pink and cooked through.

    My husband and I aren't keen on lamb but we tasted koftas when we were in Greece 3 months ago. I tried this recipe yesterday and we both loved them. This is on a list of favourites now!  -  09 Jan 2018
