Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4 and grease and line a 900g loaf tin.
In a bowl, cream together the margarine and sugar then add the eggs, one at time and beat well after each addition. Sift in the flour then add the reminader of the ingredients and mix well. Transfer to the prepared loaf tin.
Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Remove from the tin and remove the baking parchment and discard. Slice and serve.
