About this recipe:Bread machine recipe. This bread is truly wonderful and has a taste you will want to make over and over. Since obtaining my cook works bread machine this has become my favourite and has been adapted from other recipes. The addition of bacon and onion flakes can be added at either the first or second kneading cycle producing the same taste however if these are added at the second kneading cycle instead of dissolving into the bread it will retain its crunchiness throughout the bread and crust. Fantastic!!

Place the water in the bread tin first followed by the yeast, butter, salt and sugar placing these ingredients at all four corners of the tin away from each other initially. Then add the flour to the centre.
Add bacon and onion flakes at second kneading cycle. This is for a 900g (2 lb) loaf baked on basic bread setting (3 hours) and choice of crust colour if you have it. This one I mainly do on the dark crust setting. Enjoy!!
