Method Prep:10min › Cook:8hr › Ready in:8hr10min
Preheat the slow cooker to Auto or High setting.
In a frying pan over a medium heat, warm the oil then add the onions and garlic and cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the beef mince and cook and stir until browned, about 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to the slow cooker.
To the slow cooker add the remainder of the ingredients and give a good stir.
Cook for one hour on High or Auto (the Auto setting will automatically drop down to Low after an hour) then a further 7 hours on Low. Once cooking time is up, remove from the slow cooker and serve hot.
You may need to thicken it up a bit. I sprinkle in around a tablespoon of cornflour and give it a good mix near the end of cooking.
If you're out all day, cooking on Low for the full 8 hours works too. I just like to give it an hour boost on High if I can.
